Much of my work is actually done by commission. Unlike some studio artists, I don't see
commission work as a "compromise" to personal studio work, but an opportunity to work
closely with a client and "Make Visions Visible". I have done commissions from everything
from pets, to homes, to special memories, locations, architectural designing, portraits,
and illustrations, just to name a few.

The process is simple to commission me to work. Email me at bryn@artbybryn.com and
describe your vision. I will respond with my availability, my timetable, a contract
establishing a price and due date estimate/contract, and requesting the resources I will
need to begin the work. Depending on the size of the work, there is often a series of
studies done first, and with approval of the idea, the final piece is underway.
I will update a more elaborate pricing structure in the future, but my basic rate is
$80/hr. for my studio time. Half of the commission estimate is paid before the work is
started, and the other half is paid upon receiving the finished work (unless the contract
otherwise specifies). There is a base rate for most sizes, and an estimate of the time it
usually takes me to complete them. If the work is particularly complicated or involved,
addition estimated hours will be added to the base price. I will document all the time
spent in the final contract.
Base Rates for Watercolors:
5x7": $160
7x9": $200
11x14": $240
Bigger than 11x14": is $320 and up.
