The original 5×7” watercolor was created in a series of 9 watercolors which were donated by auction to raise money for the Jericho Congregational Building campaign. The entire set sold for $1000 to a generous donor who in turn gave the series back to the church for ongoing display. 50% of the profit from each of these prints will be donated to the JCC building fund.
This "Lake Carmi Farm" (I don't know its actual name) is just up the dirt road from my in-laws cabin on Lake Carmi near the Canadian border. It is an iconic symbol to me of both our annual vacation north and the quintessential rural Vermont life.
